After about 7 years of saying "Hey, I should learn how to skateboard, because it would be really funny to see me zooming around on one" I finally got around to purchasing one. I went for the longboard option, which basically looks like a skateboard, but is longer. It's more for traveling around and less for doing tricks, which is probably good since I'd most likely kill myself otherwise.
Right now I'm at the "I can go maybe a foot or so on my front sidewalk before jumping off" stage. Bets may be placed as to when I'll suffer my first serious injury. The winner may receive a prize.
