A way for past and present members of Waffle, the HighCouncilOfElders and other lists to get together in one place at one time and see how much chaos they can create. We don't meet all that often as one large group, so this seems worth it.
Get some hotel rooms somewhere, preferably a place with some decent and cheap meeting rooms in which we can create a lot of noise, get some nice food, and party. Meet every 4 years, whenever there is a presidental election (or Summer Olympics).
WaffleCon 0 (2004) was Lou and Julie's wedding.
Ideas for WaffleCon 2008:
Hold it in Las Vegas, on Groundhog's Day, 2008 (2 Feb 2008, it's a saturday)
I fully support WaffleCon 1 to be held in Las Vegas. I think Groundhog's Day is a perfect choice.
However, I disagree it should be held every four years. I think we should meet every two years instead. If it is held every four years, half the list will be dead or have children before we get around to having it more than half a dozen times. Give or take. Also, if someone were to miss WaffleCon, they wouldn't have to wait four years for the next one ... just two.
What do we say about Groundhog's Day weekend (February 4th) 2006? If this doesn't appeal, then I'm fine with the four year schedule.

Maybe you could have the winter Wafflecons every 4 years, and the summer Wafflecons every 4 years, but staggered by two years, as with recent Olympics. Of call them the presidential and the congressional wafflecons. Or whatever.
